Men’s Bible Study – Saturday’s 7:00 am Fellowship Hall (Wow, that’s early!)
Every Saturday a group of men meet in the fellowship classroom for Bible Study. Why, you ask? Because the Scriptures tell us we should, and we want to learn about what God has to say to us thru His Word, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)
How can we correctly handle the word of truth if we don’t study it? Pastor Fry admonishes us almost every week to read our Bibles. He does that because he recognizes the importance of knowing and understanding the word of God. I’m glad he does that.
In 1 Peter 3:13 – 15 we are told, “Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear for what they fear, do not be frightened. But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
Study is how we can do this. We wrestle with such questions as “What promise does God give to encourage us to pray?” and “to what does James compare faith without works?" (see James 2:26).
We will be starting on James, chapter 3 on October 18, 2025. Please join us, men ages 18 – 110 are welcome. In case we have someone interested in coming that is over 110 we would be delighted to welcome your experience!
“Si deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?”
See you Saturday morning!!
