“You Don’t Have to Do it Alone”
We all go through hard seasons, or even just hard moments, when things feel unsurmountable. We have a tendency to want to go it alone, to handle it ourselves. We don’t want to ask for help. Even when help is offered without us asking, we have a hard time accepting it.
This might be because of:
· Fear
· No one can do it better
· Embarrassment
· Prejudices
· Pride
· Loss of control
· Don’t want to be indebted to someone
But we don’t have to – and shouldn’t – do it alone.
Reasons we should accept help:
· People have prayed for this solution (maybe even you)
· God answers prayers in ways we don’t expect
· God uses people and circumstances to answer prayers
· We could be denying someone a blessing
· God may be calling that person to do something and we don’t want to stand in the way.
Verses for additional study:
Proverbs 3:27—“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.”
Galatians 6:2—“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
John 13:34—“A new command I give you; love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
please reach out for any needs regardless if it is physical, spiritual, emotional or a cup of coffee - and lets build each other up
As Jesus said “ By this all people will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another”
John 13:35
