A Message from Pastor George Fry
“Pray, Pray, Pray”
In the past two newsletters I emphasized the need to read and study the Holy Scriptures. Today I want to encourage you to expand your prayer life. Continue to pray for your family and current trials that you or your family members may be going through. Make time in your prayers, pray for the members of the church board as they are searching and interviewing people for your next pastor. Pray that they have wisdom, understanding, discernment, and patience as they carry the task of hearing God’s direction on who He wants to be your pastor.
Please pray for all the children that are associated with the Denton Church. Pray that God will bless them with godly teachers, that the Lord would protect their heart, soul, and minds. Pray for those in the church who are teachers. Pray that they are filled with God’s presence and patience, and that their students will see that there is a peace and grace that is not present in other teachers.
Pray for your Sunday school teachers, AWANA staff, youth leaders, and your worship team. Pray that they feel God’s guidance, discernment, wisdom, and patience as they minister to others.
Pray for one another. Take your church directory and pray for the family listed under your name. The next day move down to the next family and pray for them. If each one would do this then everyone in the church would be prayed for every day.
Pray for our country and the local, state, and national leaders. Pray that God would touch them and that hearts would be moved towards God. Pray for their salvation.
Finally, listen. Take time for God to speak into your prayers. Allow Him to give you the grace you need from Him. Allow His peace to cover you.
