BLESSED TOGETHER
LADIES’ BIBLE/BOOK STUDY
This weekly study began several years ago, first when ladies did not feel comfortable driving at night.
Study, fellowship, bonding friendships, creativeness, laughter, growing In-Christ together, Spiritual lessons, age related lessons, learning “fruits of the Spirit”, finding strength, finding grace, where do we fit in His service, what are our gifts, & we matter!
We meet on Mondays in the fellowship hall, in the room off to the side. Our own heat and air conditioning. Comfortable chairs, sound quality, discussions, prayer needs and praises. We are a welcoming group of ladies, sincere, caring and supporting of each other. We meet every Monday, September through May. You may think, “this is too much.” Ladies are anxious to arrive each week.
Friendship bonding, laughter, holding one another up, and expressing concern is “one of the ministries, Christ wants us to have.” One of the most rewarding impacts is experiencing prayer really works. Jesus is in our presence and He’s always responding to our prayers, whether immediately or within a short realm of time. Healings have happened, sadness has been met, forgiveness, new vision from scripture. We promote and participate with other programs, especially those geared towards women. We’ve participated in tea parties, painting parties, Choptank River cruises, Christian movies together, visitation, end of spring luncheon, Christmas party.
Another highlight is our participation with His Hope Haven (Denton’s homeless shelter) preparing and providing a dinner monthly through September into May. Additional ladies in our congregation prepare food items as well and occasionally men (they love cooking soups). Our church has quite the reputation of bringing the best meals, or so they say. In past years our church congregation had taken a family from the shelter and gifted their immediate family with Christmas presents.
We all cry with each other, laugh with each other, share the joy of the Lord with each other. We lift our family needs (sometimes unspoken), congregational needs such as death or sickness, pray for our country and world, pray that Jesus continues to develop us continually to “more like Him.”
With all that said, are you ready to join our Blessed Together Ladies Group?
